Denver is a great place to live and have fun with your family. There are plenty of fun things to do, no matter your interests. If you enjoy shopping or adventure, here are just a few of the reasons you will likely love living in Denver.
The Shops at Northfield Stapleton
While there are plenty of great shopping opportunities, this is a great option, particularly for those living in or around Stapleton. Northfield provides an open-air shopping and dining experience. You can grab a quick bite to eat at one of the fast food restaurants, or you can enjoy a more formal dining experience at one of the sit-down restaurants. After a long day of shopping, you can also relax at Harkins Theatres and enjoy a movie with your family.
While having fun with your family is one reason to love Northfield, they have provided another reason to consider them a wonderful place to do your shopping. Their Shopping-4-Students program is in its second year. The program, which started in the beginning of September, runs through May 15. When you shop or participate in other events, points will be awarded to the school of your choice. At the end of the 2017-2018 school year, 15 schools will be awarded money based upon the points they have incurred.
Escape Rooms
Escape rooms have quickly gained popularity over the last few years. The basic idea is that your group is trapped in the room, and you have an hour to work together to escape. The scenario is different depending on the game, so you can enjoy a completely different experience if you visit a different escape room. In general, escape rooms are best suited for teens and adults, although younger children may also enjoy them. Denver and the surrounding area have several escape rooms.
- Epic Escape Game in Denver– This escape room has several options, including one that has you caught in time while attempting to use your time machine. In another scenario, you get to participate in the gold rush. If you like the style of Denver’s Epic Escape Games, there two other Epic Escape locations in the area, each with their own unique escape scenarios. Englewood has one scenario that includes a suspicious bakery location. One of the scenarios at the Greenwood Village location is the Teddy Bear Workshop, the only escape room in the area created just for children 6-12 years old.
- Escape Works Denver– If you are looking for variety, this might be the perfect escape room for your family since they have one of the largest selections in the area. Get stuck in an Egyptian tomb, participate in a casino heist, or enjoy one of the other scenarios.
- King’s Escape Room– In one of the scenarios at this location, your brother has stolen the kingdom from you upon your father’s death, and you have to figure out how to get back the kingdom that is rightfully yours.
- Denver Escape Room– Although technically not located in Denver, this escape room is in Northglenn, just a little north of Denver. If you like pirates, sci-fi, and magic, this might be the right place for your escape room adventure.
There are several other escape rooms in the area, including a few that are either opening or reopening soon. You can expect to spend about $28 each for an escape room experience, although a few places are slightly less expensive.
Of course, these are just a few of the great things to enjoy in Denver. We encourage you to come and see for yourself why this is a great place to live. Check out some of the homes we have available.
