Bike Trail
If you need to work off some of that gourmet dining, the Cherry Creek Bike Trail is a 42-mile trail that starts in Denver’s Confluence Park and ends up in the small town of Franktown, Colorado. Bike enthusiasts, runners, walkers, and inline skaters find exercise, scenic views, and even relaxation along the trail. It is wheelchair accessible and there are plenty of places to stop along the way for rest or refreshment. It is mostly paved but there may be a few rural areas that are gravel. You are sure to see some of Colorado’s wildlife along the way as you wind along the banks of the Cherry Creek.
Arts Festival
Although this festival is only once a year, it is worth mentioning. This outdoor festival takes place each year over the July 4th weekend. It is a three-day event, free to the public. There is free parking at the Cherry Creek shopping center and paid parking at Cherry Creek North. Exhibits from 265 nationally juried artists, as well as free entertainment, awaits you. Food, drink, and fun for all!
Schools
Cherry Creek School District includes several schools outside of the geographical confines of between the South, 6th Avenue on the north, and with University and Colorado Boulevard as the east and west borders. This is a large district with over 55,000 students, 3,893 licensed teachers, and with 79% of the faculty having advanced degrees.
Home Sweet Home
Living at Cherry Creek is as diverse in price as it is in occupants. Home to young professionals and wealthy retirees, its highly acclaimed schools has also drawn families to the area. Another positive is the proximity to amenities and services. However, location comes with a price, with median home sales averaging over a million dollars. As of late, however, townhomes and condominiums are becoming more popular for singles and couples.
Parks
Cherry Creek Reservoir and State Park is only 10 miles from the neighborhood. Boating, fishing, camping, and many other outdoor activities are available. Within its confines, however, is the local Pulaski Park, a beautiful green space offering a great playground and tennis court.
