It’s surprising how many people know little about Denver. Their knowledge might extend only to the song Rocky Mountain High and the Denver Broncos. How can we tell them about the stunning scenes, the high end shopping, the food, the activities, the food, and the fun? How can we tell them about the wonderful homes to be found in Stapleton? Come along with us as we tell people about the charms of the nearby Cherry Creek area.
The Most Ingenious Way to See Cherry Creek
How many cities are gridlocked with bumper to bumper traffic, the only scenery available the smog-clogged air around residential areas and office buildings? How many cities offer their residents and visitors healthful walking and biking trails filled with greenery, water scapes, and great places to step off the trail to shop, eat, sight-see and more?
While you’re hiking or biking the 11 mile Cherry Creek Trail, stop off to attend a festival. The Farmer’s Market is held every Saturday in Cherry Creek North during the summer and fall. Every July, you could stop off the trail and peruse the food, art exhibits, interactive activities, wares and music at the Cherry Creek Arts Festival. Step off the trail in August for the Food and Wine Festival.
You’ll get hungry and/or thirsty walking or biking the beautiful green trail. How about taking a break for a glass of wine, locally sourced organic foods or perhaps just the best burger you ever ate?
Want to eat a meal worthy of a five-star chef? Try Elway’s, the eatery managed by a former athlete. You can’t miss with hand-cut steaks and fresh seafood, appetizers like spicy steak chili or crab cakes and dozens of incredible vegetables. Accompany these wondrous creations with a Pinot Grigio from Italy.
The Charms of Shopping in Cherry Creek
There are two shopping centers in Cherry Creek. It’s the only place to shop. The mall is an indoor shopping area housing around 160 stores. With Cherry Creek North, shoppers must go outside to get to the next store. There are around 400 of them. The buildings are adjacent to one another and cover close to 16 acres. If exercise is your thing, you might not need the trail at all.
Cherry Creek North offers shoppers everything from clothing and jewelry to fine linens, dance, art galleries, anything for your pets, one-of-a-kind clothing boutiques, books, fitness, bath soaps and so much more.
The other half of those 16 acres offers shoppers Burberry, Coach, Louis Vuitton, Tiffany, Neiman Marcus, frozen yogurt, steakhouses, Elway’s, Fresh Healthy Cafe and Johnny Rocket’s (for those astonishing burgers). One can easily see how walking all around the shopping centers can keep one fit.

That is, if you can get them out of the Denver Botanic Gardens, which is almost one mile from the spa and shopping.
After time at the spa, perhaps you yourself would appreciate something to enjoy. Within walking distance of the shopping district is yoga, snowboarding, the zoo, dozens of gorgeous parks, fishing, Segway, biking and walking tours, golf and ziplining, to name a few.
