Denver is proud to offer residents and guests two zoos. In fact, the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo is considered the fourth-best zoo in North America.
At this kid-friendly zoo, you will be able to find more than thirty species of animals that are endangered. You can even feed some of them! Most visitors love the Mountaineer Sky Ride where they can explore the zoo (and all of the animals) from above.
Denver Museum of Nature and Science
Denver Museum of Nature and Science aim to inspire the curiosity of children through science, while also preserving unique treasures from all over the world.
The Denver Museum of Nature and Science offers multiple exhibits on many topics including mummies, space, wildlife, and much more. It also has an IMAX theatre and a planetarium, which provides hours of entertainment!

WOW! Children’s Museum is another favorite for children because it allows them to explore with their hands! It is filled with hands-on exhibits, activities, and other programs that allow children to learn, play, and create.
The Children’s Museum of Denver
The Children’s Museum of Denver, located at Marsico Campus, is filled with things for children to do. Their goal is to allow curious minds to learn and explore through play. Some of their best exhibits include sculpting, powering a hot air balloon, and going in a bubble. That being said, there is so much more to do at this great museum.
Bay Aquatic Park
Denver is proud to have an outdoor water park that is designed for children as young as one and as old as thirteen. It offers visitors body slides, inner tube slides, and even a leisure pool. Young children can spend time in a smaller pool specialized designed for them. Bay Aquatic Park also offers a picnic area and a grassy area for children to run and play.
The Adventure Golf and Raceway
If miniature golf is you (and your child’s) idea of fun, you need to stop here. Adventure Golf and Raceway offers three different miniature golf courses. They often have the only outdoor electric go-kart track in Denver.
